Countries should monitor the implementation of the NCP and their overall progress towards the achievement of their national objective. Hence, a minimum set of indicators were collectively agreed upon by the GTFCC, which were developed in coherence and to be aligned as much as possible with other global initiatives and strategies. As part of this reporting process and using updated surveillance data, the country should annually (i) update estimates of cholera burden and (ii) update mapping and identification of cholera hotspots as well as any changes in contextual factors that may affect transmission patterns.

Inaddition to the reporting of the standard indicators, the country should also develop their own relevant M&E framework
