The cross-border configuration of the cholera basin requires a strong collaboration between countries in terms of surveillance, alerts, information sharing, and exchange of experiences. These workshops usually bring together the representatives of the Member States, United Nations agencies (WHO, UNICEF, IOM and OCHA), regional and sub-regional organizations, NGOs and members of civil society, and play a critical role at improving cross-border collaboration, as well as the monitoring of actions considered and commitments made during the previous meetings.
